Affiliate Program Terms

1. Who can join

Anyone 18 or older with a PayPal account: web designers, agencies, virtual assistants, consultants, reviewers, GotItDesk customers. You can live anywhere, but GotItDesk serves US businesses only, so promote it to US businesses.

We look at every application and approve it or turn it down, usually within a working day. Your link does nothing until you are approved.

2. What you earn

30% of each subscription payment GotItDesk actually receives from a business you referred, for its first 12 paid months, then 10% for as long as it keeps paying, while you are in good standing in the program. At $99 a month that is $29.70 a month in the first year and $9.90 a month after; at the founding price of $79, $23.70 and then $7.90. A yearly plan’s first payment is its first 12 months; its renewals earn 10%.

Commission is only ever a share of money the business has actually paid us. Nothing is earned on a free trial, a discount or an unpaid invoice.

Extra-minute packs, $0 invoices, refunds and chargebacks don’t count. If a payment is refunded or disputed after we paid you for it, that commission comes off your next payout.

3. How a referral counts

Your link is gotitdesk.com/?via=your-code, and it works on any gotitdesk.com page. The first affiliate link a business clicks counts for 90 days: it must sign up within that time, from the same browser. One affiliate per business.

A business that signs up through your link gets the usual free trial. It does not also get the customer referral offer, and nobody earns a customer referral reward for it.

4. When and how you are paid

Commission is paid after a 30-day hold, once the shop’s payment has cleared. Each commission is pending for 30 days after the business pays us; if that payment is refunded or disputed in that time, the commission is cancelled. After 30 days it is due.

We pay monthly, through PayPal only, in US dollars, on the 15th: everything that is due by then and not yet paid. The minimum payout is $50; less than that rolls over to the next month.

Before your first payout we need a tax form: a W-9 if you are in the US, a W-8BEN (or W-8BEN-E for a company) if you are not. We ask for it by email and keep it outside the website; we don’t store tax ID numbers on gotitdesk.com. Your taxes on what you earn are yours to handle.

5. What is not allowed

Referring yourself or your own business, or a business that is already a GotItDesk customer. A business whose phone number or website matches an existing account earns no commission.

Paid search ads on “GotItDesk” or misspellings of it. Spam, cold calls or cold texts. Coupon or deal sites. Claims about GotItDesk that aren’t on our website. Outreach to dental, medical or med spa practices. Posing as GotItDesk or as someone who works for us.

6. Say that you earn from the link

Wherever you share your link, say clearly and right next to it that you earn from it, for example “I earn a commission if you sign up” or “paid link”. The US Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides ask for this.

7. Emails you send

Any email you send about GotItDesk must follow the CAN-SPAM Act: say who you are, include your postal address, give an easy way to opt out, and honor it. Only write to people and businesses you may lawfully contact.

8. Breaking the rules

If you break these terms we can remove you from the program. From then on you earn nothing more on any referral, and unpaid commissions on the referrals affected are forfeited.

9. Changes and ending

We can change these terms with 30 days’ notice by email. Commissions you have already earned stand under the terms they were earned under. You can leave the program at any time by emailing us, and we can end the program with the same 30 days’ notice. Once you leave or the program ends, no new commission is earned; what you earned before is paid under section 4.

10. Our relationship

You are independent: not our employee, agent or partner in law, and you can’t make promises for GotItDesk. Businesses you refer sign up and pay GotItDesk directly under our Terms of Service.
