Answering service for detailers

An answering service that books the job, not just the message

The calls come while your hands are on a car, and most callers won’t leave a voicemail: they call the next shop. Here are your four options, and what each does with “how much for a coating on a Model Y?”

No card needed. Keep your number. One code undoes it.

What a detailing call sounds like

  1. Greets the callersays it’s your shop’s virtual assistant
  2. Make and modelso it knows the size band
  3. Paint conditionif your prices depend on it
  4. Quotes your pricefor that size, from your list
  5. Finds the daysa run of free days in one bay for a coating
  6. Books itspells the name back, and emails you the booking

Listen to the 54-second sample: a recorded, scripted ceramic-coating call in the live voice.

What’s particular to detailing

  • Price by vehicle. It asks make and model and quotes the band you set for that size. It’s built not to make up a price that isn’t on your list.
  • Multi-day coatings. It only offers runs of days that are actually free, with a column per bay.
  • Your warranty wording. Durability and warranty answers come from what you wrote, not the internet.
  • Mobile detailers. “Do you come to me?” and “how far do you travel?” get the answers you wrote in setup.

Set up in about ten minutes

Paste your website and it suggests your hours, services and prices. You choose a voice, call your new GotItDesk number to hear it answer, and only then dial one code to forward the calls you miss.

What it doesn’t do yet

Texts to callers, deposits, Spanish, and Apple iCloud, Square or Calendly. We’d rather you know now. See everything on the pricing page.

Questions

Will my customers know it’s AI?
Yes. By default it says it’s a virtual assistant in its first sentence, and it answers truthfully if asked.
Do I need a new number?
No. You keep your number and forward only the calls nobody picks up: busy, no answer or after hours. Your phone still rings first, and one code undoes it.
What if it doesn’t know the answer?
It takes a message or puts the caller through to the numbers you chose. It’s built not to make up a price, a warranty or a discount.
Does it work with my detailing software?
Not connected yet. It books into its own calendar (a column per bay), or your Google Calendar or Outlook. Apple iCloud, Square and Calendly aren’t connected yet.
Can it text my customers?
Not yet: texting is waiting on carrier approval. Today it emails you every booking and message.
What does it cost?
A free trial first: your first 10 bookings, up to 14 days or 59 minutes, no card. Then $99 a month with 1,000 minutes, or $79 for our first 100 customers. No overage bills: at the limit, callers leave a voicemail.
